As I mentioned recently, I stumbled on the gorgeous, vintage look of junk journaling. I’ve always enjoyed making vintage, shabby chic papers and embellishments. These junk journals seem to fit my design bill and they’ll work for both digiscrappers and junk journal junkies. The “kits” appear to be varied and can range from a few papers only, to papers, embellishments, and all kinds of ephemera that can be printed out on thicker paper to be used in the journal. Some are all organic while lots are mixed media.
I’ve also mentioned trying to find out what else digital papers can be used for. I was relaxing Saturday morning doing some Pinteresting to get some fresh deck decorating ideas. The hubs was sleeping in so what else is a girl supposed to do with a cup of coffee, an iPad, and the Pinterest icon staring at me, gently coaxing me to come in. Somehow, I stumbled on an old window frame using digital papers as the “panes”!
How cute is that? Here’s the link to the tutorial: Altered Window Frame Tutorial if you’re interested in it. Naturally, that led to me finding more similar uses for digital papers, from full size tri-door room partitions using the papers as “window panes”, to using papers to line drawers! I even found some just using several frames (matching or not) that simply used digital papers instead of pictures for wall art. Pretty cool, I thought. Here’s a link to my Pinterest account. Shameless plug: be sure to follow me if you’re not already 🙂
On to the new stuff! “Vintage Memories” comes in three different sizes (sold separately). Each kit has three papers and six matching tags. The tags are in both .png and .jpeg format. These took quite a bit longer to make than most of my papers. Especially since I was making the three different paper sizes all at once! Lindsey is still working on the last set of papers (Vintage Rose) to use and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with on these as well.
“Vintage Memories” are currently available in my stores and the links to each are underneath each preview.
