If you haven’t been here in the last couple of weeks or so, and you think you’re seeing white stuff traveling across your screen, you’re right. It’s snow! Yes, my friends, it is snowing here at Lavender Mint Graphics! I know it’s barely visible because of the color of my WordPress template. I wished it would snow here. Or even be cold for Christmas. We are due to be in the mid to upper 70’s beginning Christmas Eve for a few days. At the beginning of the week, we barely got out of the 30’s. Texas weather. You gotta love it. Or not.
Wow, I can’t believe Christmas is just around the corner!! Are you ready? I’m not. No big surprise lol. Come December 26th, I’m always thinking, ok – I have GOT to squirrel things away during the year so I’ll be ready next year. That’s happened for the last I-don’t-know-how-many-years! I don’t even have that many to buy for! We still get gifts the kiddos in the family – grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc. and do a white elephant gift exchange for the adults. But, but, wait. I still have kids. Granted, they’re in their 30’s and 40’s, but still. They’re my KIDS!! And my dad. I can’t not get my dad something for pete’s sake! If my sweet mom wasn’t already in Heaven, I’d be getting her something, too.
Last, but definitely not least, my hubby! Last year we opted to forego gifts for each other and have our bathroom shower renovated, which we did and we love. We kicked around what to do this year. He decides we should get each other something, which is fine. Usually he gives me a list of … wait for it … tools. I pick out several so although he knows he’s getting tools, he doesn’t know which ones, so he’s still surprised! Sort of. But, here it is a couple of days before Christmas, I’m scrambling trying to think of what he’d like. Then, just in the last week, he’s gotten a new grill, a new surround sound system because ours went kaput, and a new television for our bedroom because it went kaput as well. So bing, bang, boom, there’s three gifts, one of which I could have said hey! Christmas present! Oh well, I’m sure I’ll come up with something.
Okay on to the paper pack! I’ve been learning how to do some new things in Photoshop and this kit is the result of some of that learning. I was so thrilled to learn something new that I couldn’t wait to create this kit and get it up before Christmas. I love it if I do say so myself. It’s a bit different from my usual paper packs, I think. Bolder, brighter colors and patterns. These papers are non textured, 12″x12″ (3600 x 3600), 300dpi. They are available in my Etsy Shop and over at The Hungry JPEG.
I’m sure this will be my last posting before Christmas, so I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope you have an amazing time with family and friends. And if for some reason, this year won’t be the best, I pray that amidst whatever that reason is you find peace and comfort. Love and hugs to all!
