About Me

Lisa - Lavender Mint Grpahics

Welcome to Lavender Mint Graphics! I’m Lisa Geerman, the lady behind the name. I’m recently retired from being an office manager and am looking forward to focusing more on this little hobby of mine. Happily married (not kidding, just ask anyone), mother, and grandmother. I love the Lord and give glory to Him in and for everything.

My former employer is the one who sparked my interest in digital graphics. Back around the turn of the century we had just gotten on the internet. He asked me to design a website, of which I knew nothing about. Nothing. I learned to code it using HTML in Notepad. Found some graphics and became fascinated with the whole process. So, I started out with my own little website doing pixel graphics, then created websets for others to use.

I’ve loved the look of scrapbooking graphics ever since I first saw them. When I closed my last site, which was for websets, I thought I was done making graphics, because Blogger and WordPress were becoming more and more prevalent. I found myself saving things on Pinterest and hoarding freebie-anything-kit related. So, I decided why not just get back into it and learn how to do this? I did, and spent a couple of years creating kits, then mostly just paper packs. Because despite loving creating kits, I don’t scrap. Digitally or otherwise!

Once I discovered surface pattern design and illustrations, I turned more and more to the Procreate app on the iPad Pro to create. It’s very much like Photoshop and the Apple Pen is totally worth the price of the iPad Pro! I try occasionally to use the Affinity Designer app for vector designs, but right now I’m totally loving Procreate.

I’ve learned a LOT since first dipping my graphic toes into this adventure and love creating a variety of graphics. I hope you enjoy your visit and will find something useful, whether it’s freebies here or checking out my shops.

As for my design name, Lavender Mint Graphics not only utilizes my own initials, but purple is my favorite color and mint green was my mom’s favorite color. So, viola .. Lavender Mint Graphics was the natural choice. Mom, of course, loved the name.

Thanks for stopping by.
